An elbow patch sweater borrows from the tweed jacket without asking you to wear one.

Patches at the elbow and panels across the shoulder break up what would otherwise be a plain men's knit sweater, and they sit where a jacket would wear through first. The rib runs the full body, the collar folds to a point, and the quarter zip stops at the chest.

Elbow Patch Detail: Oval panels sit exactly where a sleeve takes the most friction against a desk.
Quarter Zip Point Collar: Fold it open for a lapel line or close it to the throat outdoors.
Layered Shoulder Yoke: Second layer across the yoke adds weight right under the pull of a bag strap.
Regular Fit Sizing: Ribbed knit follows the body without gripping, so take your usual size for a clean line.
Cold Wash Care: Wash cool, dry flat, and keep direct heat away from the patches and trims.

Borrowed details only work when they are also useful, and both of these are.
